Following continued growth and internal development across St Elizabeth’s, we are expanding our teams and welcoming new colleagues to support our vibrant and diverse community.

Where Every Day Matters – For You and Them.

About St Elizabeth’s Centre

St Elizabeth’s is a vibrant, values-led charity set in 60 acres of Hertfordshire countryside, supporting children, young people, and adults with complex needs including epilepsy and learning disabilities.

Our unique site includes a school, college, supported living for adults, children’s homes, and on-site therapies — all working together to create a safe, joyful and aspirational environment where every person is supported to live life to the full.

About the Role

Our Community Hub is a welcoming and supportive environment dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with complex needs. We pride ourselves on offering compassionate, person-centred care and meaningful day-to-day experiences.

We are currently seeking a Lead Instructor to join our dedicated team. This hands-on role involves supporting clients during the day, supervising a team of staff, planning daily activities, and ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is kind and compassionate with excellent communication and organisation skills.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and motivate a team of support staff in delivering person-centred care
  • Develop and implement activity programmes tailored to individual needs.
  • Support individuals with personal care (where required) and day-to-day tasks
  • Monitor and record outcomes, ensuring health and safety and safeguarding protocols are followed
  • Communicate effectively with families, healthcare professionals, and the wider team

What we’re looking for

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Worker with a strong background in adult social care. The ideal candidate will be confident leading a team, committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred support, and must hold a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle. A willingness to motivate and support other members of staff is essential, along with flexibility and a “can do” attitude to get stuck in where needed.

What we offer

We want you to feel your best so you can give your best. In return for your hard work, we offer:

  • Shift pattern: Monday – Friday (9:00 – 17:00)
  • 23 days’ holiday + bank holidays
  • Free on-site parking and DBS
  • Blue Light Card discounts and discounted gym membership
  • Employee Assistance Programme and wellbeing platform

Important Information

Our location is not on a public transport route. Please note that to be considered for this role, you must have a full UK driving licence as you will be required to transport individuals to and from activities.

You will also hold a Level 2 in Adult Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
