ABOUT THE ROLE

Hours of work: 36 hours per week over 4 nights

Reports to: House / Service Leader

Salary: Start rate of £12.82 per hour

Place of work: L'Arche Bognor Regis 

Contract Type: Temporary

Closing date: Sunday,5th of July at midnight

Main purpose of the role:

• To support members of our community who have learning disabilities, to go about their lives by being a waking overnight presence in the house. This involves building relationships and sharing the joys and challenges of daily life. 
• This role will include personal care and administration of medication. 
• In this role, you will work alongside core members (L'Arche's term for people with learning disabilities), volunteers and other staff members to ensure the smooth running of the house, the welfare of the core members and integrate as part of the wider community.
• You will support people with any spiritual choices they make; 

The responsibilities will be split:

• 80% Supporting people with learning disabilities;
• 10% Using a digital system to record what you do during your shift;
• 10% Learning & Development and regular meetings with your line manager;
