About this role
CNWA are recruiting for a new voluntary role of Secretary to help us take minutes, actions, etc. at our 6-weekly Committee meetings.
The role of voluntary Secretary includes the following:
- Attending as a member of the CNWA committee which meets roughly six weekly to provide ongoing support and advice (this may be online or face-to-face)
- Minute key decisions and discussion points in a brief manner.
- Record actions on the Action Point Log.
- Ensure draft minutes and the Action Point Log are circulated to committee members within one week of each meeting (ideally).
- Deal with revisions to the minutes and Action Point Log.
- Call for agenda items one week prior to each meeting (ideally).
- Work with the Chair to refine the agenda before circulating to committee members a few days prior to the CNWA Committee meeting.
- Join in the committee conversation when familiar with the topics being discussed (no rush).
- The committee comprises of a number of people (each has their own role) who have a serious mission but take a light hearted approach to working together.
We are ideally looking for someone with:
- Experience in taking minutes of a meeting
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Integrity, reliability, and attention to detail
- A collaborative approach and willingness to be part of a friendly team
- A commitment to the values and mission of CNWA
