Role Title
Intervention Mentor / Specialist Intervention Mentor Pathway
We are looking for people who are:

The role may include:
- 1:1 specialist intervention support
- Structured mentoring sessions and positive activities
- Supporting attendance, engagement and behaviour
- Emotional regulation and confidence-building work
- Promoting positive routines, choices and decision-making
- Community-based activities and engagement
- Working with schools, families, carers and professionals
- Completing reports, safeguarding records and professional communication
Essential requirements
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Previous experience working with children or young people
- Enhanced DBS certificate, or willingness to obtain one
- Strong understanding of professional boundaries and safeguarding
- Ability to engage and motivate young people from diverse backgrounds
- Reliability, professionalism and willingness to work flexibly where required

- Coaching / sports
- Care / residential settings
- Creative / music / community activities
- Mentoring or pastoral support
Career Pathways at TWMAD

Mentor Progression: Develop from Junior Mentor through to Intervention Mentor, Senior Intervention Mentor and Specialist / High-Risk Practitioner.
Training & Development: Access to ongoing training and higher-level development in areas such as PBS, autism, ADHD, trauma-informed practice, safeguarding, CCE, emotional regulation and de-escalation.
Leadership Pathway: Opportunities to support other mentors, improve practice and progress towards Lead Mentor, Practice Lead or Programme Lead roles.
Workshop & Presentation Delivery: Co-deliver and lead group sessions, workshops, assemblies and presentations in school and community settings.
TWMAD Ambassador Route: Represent TWMAD at events, display stands and networking opportunities while promoting our services and values.
Fundraising & Community Projects: Develop and lead funded community projects and initiatives that align with TWMAD values, gain project management experience and create real impact.

Location
Various school, community and intervention settings across Staffordshire, Stoke-on-Trent and Cheshire East. Flexible hours are available, including some evenings and weekends.
