Support Worker – Supported Living

About the Role

Based at our Supported Living Service on Evesham Road in Stratford-upon-Avon, you'll support adults with learning disabilities to live independently in their own homes while achieving their personal goals and living the life they choose.

Our customers have a range of learning disabilities, and some are also living with dementia or age-related conditions. Experience or an interest in supporting people with dementia would be beneficial, although full training will be provided.

This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll provide high-quality, person-centred support tailored to each individual's needs. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing personal care with dignity and respect.

• Administering and recording medication in line with individual support plans.

• Using moving and handling equipment, including hoists, where required (full training provided).

• Supporting customers with meal preparation, household tasks, shopping and budgeting.

• Encouraging independence, choice and decision-making in all aspects of daily life.

• Supporting customers to access healthcare appointments and community activities.

• Taking part in activities such as arts and crafts, sensory sessions, Cyclability, shopping trips, day trips and other hobbies that promote wellbeing, confidence and independence.

• Supporting customers to build and maintain relationships with family, friends and their local community.

• Completing accurate records and working collaboratively with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals.

Shift Patterns

This role involves a variety of shifts, including:

• 7:00am – 3:30pm

• 3:30pm – 10:00pm

• 7:00am – 10:00pm (Long Day)

• Sleep-in shifts may be available and are paid at £70.47 per sleep-in.

Previous care or relevant support experience is preferred.
