Location: Seaford
Hours: Flexible, as agreed

Do you enjoy getting out and about, exploring local communities, and helping others have fun and feel included? Join us at Seeability as an Out and About Volunteer and support people with learning disabilities, autism, and sight loss to enjoy activities, social opportunities, and new experiences.

If you are patient, friendly, understanding, and love meeting people, this could be the perfect volunteer role for you.

What You Will Be Doing

As an Out and About Volunteer, you will support people we support to enjoy social activities and spend time in their local community. Activities could include:

  • Supporting trips to the shops, cinema, or community events
  • Sharing hobbies, interests, and conversation
  • Encouraging confidence and independence
  • Helping people try new activities and experiences
  • Having fun, building friendships, and creating positive memories together

Every day can be different, and even small outings can make a big impact.

The Difference You Will Make

Your time, companionship, and encouragement can help reduce loneliness and build confidence for people we support.

You could help someone:

  • Feel more connected to their community
  • Build social confidence and independence

  • Feel valued, included, and supported

Sometimes, simply having someone to share a cup of tea, a walk, or a laugh with can brighten someone’s whole week.
