About the Person You’ll Be Supporting & Your Role

As a Support Worker, you will be supporting a gentleman in his 30s who has an acquired brain injury (ABI), resulting in significant physical and cognitive impairments. He requires the use of a stand aid for all transfers and needs support with mobility, personal care, and overnight monitoring to ensure his safety and wellbeing. Due to memory difficulties, he can sometimes become anxious or frustrated, particularly if he feels routines or tasks have not been completed as expected. The role requires a patient, calm, and consistent approach, providing reassurance when needed and following established care plans to maintain a safe and supportive environment. You will play a vital role in promoting his dignity, independence, and quality of life while ensuring all care is delivered safely and compassionately throughout the night.

What We’re Looking For

We're looking for a caring, patient, and reliable individual who is passionate about supporting others. You'll be calm under pressure, able to follow care plans consistently, and committed to providing safe, person-centred support throughout the night.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overnight support and welfare checks.
  • Assist with personal care and transfers using a stand aid.
  • Follow care plans and risk assessments.
  • Offer reassurance and emotional support.
  • Record and report any concerns or incidents.
  • Promote dignity, independence, and wellbeing at all times.

What We Offer

Alongside the satisfaction of making a real difference, you’ll receive:

  • Comprehensive induction and specialist training
  • Clear career progression opportunities
  • Employee benefits, lifestyle savings & wellbeing support
  • 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme
  • Online counselling and GP access
  • Cycle‑to‑work and salary‑sacrifice schemes
  • Enhanced DBS provided

Equal Opportunities

We welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds. Diversity strengthens our team, and we are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.

For this particular role, we are seeking a male Support Worker. This is a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010, due to the personal care needs of the individual being supported.

We are dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of adults with care and support needs and expect all colleagues to share this commitment.

Ready to Apply?

If you’re passionate about empowering others and ready to make a meaningful impact in specialist care, we’d love to hear from you.
