Fundraising Trustee
About this role
Hatch Enterprise supports underrepresented entrepreneurs to develop the knowledge, confidence, and skills needed to launch and grow a business. We do this through delivering workshops, events, and 1:1 volunteering support, connecting entrepreneurs in a vibrant, supportive community, and building networks and partnerships with other organisations who share our vision.
Since 2014, we’ve supported more than 10,000 founders on their journey to build sustainable, impactful businesses, bringing them together with the experience and skills of more than 1000 mentors and coaches in the process. Up until early 2020, the majority of the entrepreneurs we worked with were based in London and the South East. Having since taken our portfolio of support programmes online, increasingly we now work with entrepreneurs from right across the UK.
About the role
Hatch is seeking a trustee with deep, hands-on fundraising, charity income and product development experience to strengthen the Board’s oversight of income generation, fundraising strategy and long-term financial sustainability.
This role is for someone who has worked within the charity sector for a significant period of time and understands the realities of fundraising from first-hand experience. They will bring practical insight into what it takes to build, manage and convert a diversified income portfolio, while also understanding how strong charitable products, services and programmes are developed, adapted and positioned for funders, partners and commissioners.
The trustee will help the Board provide informed challenge and support to the CEO and Fundraising & Engagement team as Hatch grows its income, strengthens its pipeline, develops scalable programme offers and builds a more resilient funding model.

Experience of building or overseeing fundraising strategy, including pipeline management, income forecasting, conversion rates, donor stewardship and fundraising performance.
The ability to distinguish between appropriate trustee oversight and operational management, offering constructive challenge while supporting the executive team to lead delivery.
The time commitment for this role is half a day per month, plus a quarterly board meeting.
