About this role

Join our advice line team and provide vital support to people when they need it most. Calls and emails to our support service have surged, and we're looking for compassionate volunteers to help us respond as quickly as possible.

The role will start with entering contact details and notes onto our system, allowing you time to become familiar with our protocols and procedures. When you're comfortable, this will move to providing signposting information. The role comes with full training and role shadowing and will allow your skills to develop at your own pace. You need strong IT skills for this role and familiarity with data entry is an absolute must. Proven admin skills are really helpful but an understanding and non judgemental personality is a necessity.

We ask volunteers to be able to give two hours per week, anytime from 9am to 10pm and this role can be carried out from home, once the initial training has been completed. Due to the demand for our advice line, we do ask that you're able to volunteer regularly for a period of at least 12 months.
