About the Role:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our dynamic team at a supported living service comprising 21 self-contained flats. Each individual in our service lives independently and receives tailored support based on their unique needs.
The people we support may be living with a range of conditions including mental health challenges, autism, OCD, dementia, brain injury, trauma-related needs, and more. Your role will involve working closely with the team to provide high-quality, person-centred support and to help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the service.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Support Worker, you will act as a role model for best practice, leading and guiding the staff team while supporting individuals with daily living and emotional wellbeing. You’ll ensure support plans are followed and regularly reviewed, promote independence, maintain accurate records, complete audits, ensure compliance with safeguarding and regulatory standards, work with external professionals and families, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the service and team culture. You will be skilled in supporting people with complex needs in a person-centred and trauma-informed way, be a strong communicator with team leadership experience, organised in managing daily service operations, and confident working under pressure and adapting to changing needs.
