Location: Much Hadham, Hertfordshire
Salary: £15,184 - £15,453 per annum (pro rata for part-time)
Hours: Wednesday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm (22.5 hours per week)

St Elizabeth’s is a vibrant, values-led charity set in 60 acres of Hertfordshire countryside, supporting children, young people, and adults with complex needs including epilepsy and learning disabilities.

About the Role

We're looking for compassionate and dedicated Day Care Support Workers to join our growing Community Hub team.

You'll provide person-centred support to adults attending our day care service, helping them have a meaningful, enjoyable and fulfilling days.

Every day will be different. You might support someone to take part in an activity, enjoy an outing, develop a new skill, communicate their choices or simply spend time doing something they love. 

You'll work closely with colleagues, families and other professionals to make sure each person receives the right support in the right way - always with dignity, respect and kindness. 

And you'll see that the little things can be big achievements. 

The small moments can make the biggest difference. 

What you’ll do

• Organize and participate in stimulating activities, games, and outings
• Build positive relationships with service users, families, and colleagues
• Support individuals in a way that promotes dignity, choice, and independence
• Provide personal care and support in accordance with individual care plans
• Assist with mobility, feeding, and medication as required
• Maintain accurate records and report any concerns or incidents appropriately
• Work effectively as part of a team to ensure a safe and welcoming environment

What we’re looking for

• Experience in a care or support role (desirable but not essential as full training will be provided)
• A genuine passion for helping others and making a difference
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, patient, and flexible approach to work
• Ability to work under your own initiative and as part of a team
